Terms of Service

When you install and use the Extended Browser Module ("Service" or "Extension"), you are agreeing to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

Definitions

  • "Company", "we", "our", or "us" refers to Hebb Technologies Inc.
  • "You" or "your" refers to the person or organization using the Extension.
  • "ERP" refers to the Epicor ERP system you interact with using our Service.

License and Access

Instead of a traditional user account, access to our Service is controlled via a License verification system.

  1. Trial and Licensing: We may offer a free trial period. Once the trial expires, a valid paid license is required to continue using the Service. We verify your status by hashing your ERP Installation ID and checking it against our records.
  2. Revocation: We reserve the right to revoke your license key if we discover abuse, tampering with the license verification mechanism, or violations of these Terms.

Your Responsibilities

Because this Service runs locally on your machine and interacts directly with your ERP:

  1. ERP Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your ERP login credentials. Our Service uses your existing active browser session; we never see or store your password.
  2. Data Integrity: You are solely responsible for the consequences of any BAQ (Business Activity Query) or API call you execute using the Service. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or unintended writes to your ERP database resulting from queries you run.
  3. Permitted Use: You agree not to use the Service to scrape data in violation of your ERP's terms of service, or to reverse engineer the Extension's source code.

Payment and Refunds

  1. Billing: Payments for licenses are processed securely via our designated payment providers. We do not store your credit card information.
  2. Non-Payment: If your subscription lapses, the Extension will revert to a restricted state or cease functioning until payment is restored.
  3. Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the extension within the first 30 days of purchase, contact us for a full refund.

Modifications to the Service

  1. Updates: Chrome Extensions update automatically. We reserve the right to push updates that add, modify, or remove features.
  2. End of Life: We intend to support this Service for the long haul. However, if we must discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable advance notice to active license holders.

Uptime and Security

  1. Local Execution: The Service runs in your browser. Its "uptime" is dependent on your internet connection and the availability of your ERP server.
  2. License Server: We aim for 99.9% uptime on our license verification server. If our verification server is down, you may be temporarily unable to validate your license.
  3. Data Security: As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not store your ERP data. You acknowledge that once data is displayed in your browser or copied to your clipboard, the responsibility for securing that data lies with you.

Copyright and Ownership

  1. Our IP: The Company owns all right, title, and interest in the Extension, including the code, design, and logic. You obtain no ownership rights by using it.
  2. Your Data: We claim no ownership over the data you process using the Extension. That data belongs to you or your organization.

Limitation of Liability

Read this carefully.

You agree that the Company is not liable to you or to any third party for damages of any kind that result from the use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Inability to access your ERP data.
  • Data loss or corruption within your ERP caused by your queries.
  • Financial losses resulting from business interruption.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not offer service-level agreements (SLAs) regarding the performance of the Extension interacting with your specific ERP configuration.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
